Amity Middle School Students Experience Inner Space Center

On Thursday, Nov.19, Amity Middle School Orange students had the opportunity to interact with oceanographers via a broadcast from the Inner Space Center through the Marine Technology for Teachers and Students (MaTTs) program.

The MaTTs Project is a $1.2 million National Science Foundation grant facilitated by UCONN and the University of Rhode Island.

Amity High School students, trained as MaTTs experts, shared their experiences in the program prior to the broadcast from the Inner Space Center.  Following the broadcast selected students participated in small group, hands-on activities facilitated by the high school students.
