Beloved Teacher, Librarian Loses Battle With Cancer

Donna G. Monro, 66, beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, of Orange, passed away peacefully on Aug. 28 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford, after a long and courageous struggle with cancer.{{more}}

She was a retired teacher and librarian in the Orange Elementary School System where she enjoyed working for more than 30 years. She will be dearly missed by her mother, Carol Scranton, longtime Orange resident, recently of Shelton; her daughter, Sara Restrepo and husband Jose of Orange; and her two cherished granddaughters, Liliana and Gabriela.

She is also survived by her brother, Peter Scranton of Madison. Friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 7, 1:30 pm at the Orange Congregational Church.
