GOP Endorses Zeoli for Another Term

The Orange Republican Town Committee endorsed James Zeoli for First Selectman of the Town of Orange at its meeting on June 19 according to a press release from GOP Town Chairman Rick Roberts.{{more}}

“Jim has served as First Selectman since 2005 and has shown the vision and experience that is critical to the future of Orange,” said Roberts in the release.

Zeoli will be seeking his fifth term as First Selectman.

“I will continue taking the tough issues facing our community head-on. We must continue to stress financial responsibility, both from a cost reduction and revenue generation standpoint. We have had great success with our commercial economic development and will continue to pursue the growth of our commercial tax base with a sound, well thought-out plan. Together with my Republican team, I will continue to support and improve our schools which are among the best in the state. We have always and will continue to help seniors maintain a comfortable lifestyle in our town,”Zeoli is quoted as saying in the release.

The Republican Town Committee has also endorsed a “solid team of incumbents along with some talented newcomers who will join Zeoli on the Republican slate.”
