The Orange Times Announces New Editor

The Orange Times announced today that Joseph Weathered has been promoted to the position of Editor-in-Chief. Weathered was the Milford correspondent for the paper.

“Weathered’s background is well-suited for this position, as he has had working experience in print, digital and social media,” said Publisher Steve Hechtman.

Weathered has written for local publications such as Milford Living Magazine and FC Beat Magazine. Additionally, he holds a degree in journalism/communications.

“I am honored and proud to be able to continue the long tradition of quality that the paper has represented,” said Weathered.

“In serving as the Milford correspondent for The Times I have been able to experience the pulse and feeling of Milford and I am excited to do the same in Orange. I feel strongly about the potential of local media and I am proud to be apart of a truly independent newspaper.”

Weathered replaces Joseph Cole who was with the paper since 2013, and has left to start The West Haven Observer. Cole and his fiancé Elizabeth Cerezo are having an October wedding in Santo Domingo.
